How long can a dog bark before it gets tired?

 


Dogs generally bark to warn, call for attention, or express joy. When a dog barks, its vocal chords vibrate and create sound waves that travel through the air and disperse in the environment. When a dog starts barking it generally uses its open mouth to aid in producing these sound waves, but when the dog gets tired it starts using its nose instead.
